We are Travis and Tanya and are excited to share a bit about our family with you.
Besides God, family is the most important thing in all 5 of our lives. God is the center of our family and the Lord of all of our decisions. We always felt called to adopt. Even before we were married, when we would talk about plans for our future adoption was always in the picture. We have so much fun as a family and all 5 of us want this new addition
The girls cannot wait to have another sibling to love on, play with, and enjoy! Kaynahn, our middle daughter, has an autoimmune disorder called alopecia areata. Because of this disorder, her immune system attacks her hair follicles and makes her hair fall out. There is no cure for this disorder. This disorder surfaced when she was only 10 months old so really the only thing she remembers is not having hair. We remember very vividly when she was diagnosed with this disorder the dermatologist telling us that the thing that would be the determining factor of how she deals with this as she ages would be how we view and deal with it. Right away, we knew that we would not allow this disorder to be a handicap in her life. She has a wig, but rarely wears it. She loves fixing her hair, but hates how uncomfortable the wig is. She is so confident that she doesn't need the wig to be a beautiful young woman.
Both Travis and I own our own businesses so we are both completely in control of our schedules which will allow one of us to be with the baby at all times after the adoption. We eagerly await being selected as adoptive parents and look forward to getting to know our child’s birth parents well. If selected, your baby will be loved and cared for by not only mom, dad, and sisters but a great church family, community and extended family. You will always and forever be upheld with respect in our family.
We admire you and we will be praying for you.
